Prof Dr. Timothy Lee has published more than 300 research articles in academic journals, books, and conference proceedings (including 120 in the SSCI-indexed journals, 140 in the SCOPUS-listed journals, and 110 in A* or A-ranked journals in the Australian Business Deans Council -ABDC-). His research interests include medical/wellness/health tourism, food tourism, cultural heritage tourism, and tourism development that emphasizes East Asian values.
He is the Associate Editor of Journal of Leisure Research and the Regional Editor of Southeast Asia of Leisure Studies. He is a member of editorial board (full-time reviewer) in 10 SSCI-listed journals including Tourism Management, and Journal of Travel Research. He has supervised more than 20 PhD and 40 master’s degree students’ theses in Australia, Japan, and Macau. He was awarded 4 million US Dollars from the 26 competitive external research projects worldwide. He is the Founding Director of the ICOHOTH (International Congress of Health-Oriented Tourism & Hospitality, www.icohoth.org) and GLOSITH (Global Congress of Special Interest Tourism & Hospitality, www.glosith.net).
